Audyssey issues

I have a new Marantz Sr 6010. When I run audyssey, it sets the speaker levels way too low. When I go in to turn the levels up, Audyssey turns itself off. Is this normal? Can I not tweak Audyssey without it completely shutting off on me. Has anyone else had this issue?
