If you mean to just see if they work or not, a 9 volt battery touched to the +/- terminals will make the woofer move either in or out, depending on which way you hook it up.
If you mean testing for how well they sound, I like using either Fleetwood Mac's TUSK album or anything by Steely Dan.
To test for efficiency, play YES's Starship Trooper and listen to the opening bass riff.
A very efficient speaker will let you hear the trailing tremolo from the bass notes.
