For Sale is one of the FIRST two VBSS box's ever built. I had some plans for it, but after putting it in my loft where it would live, it was just WAAAYYY to big.
I purchased this enclosure from Matt at the GTG in Chicago. I flush trimmed the edges, modified it by removing the binding post insert and installing a flush mounted speakon connector, threw a couple coats of black on it and bought the driver.
The edges of the MDF could use a bit more love, but as I planned to encase them with a 1x2 on either side and top and bottom (like a mission style endtable), I didn't seal them before painting. I also sealed the cutout left from removing the binding post section with wood from the inside. This means you could easily cut it out and remount it to use regular speaker wire rather than a speakon wire.
Otherwise the enclosure looks good. Might be a ding or two I am forgetting about, but I can provide more pics upon request no problem.
For those not aware, this sub REQUIRES either a iNuke DSP pro amp, or a MiniDSP to do some EQ trickery (all settings listed on AVS, so its mainly plug and play).
I am asking 160 via Paypal friends and family. I am willing to drive within 1.5 hours of Brownsburg, IN give or take.
To sum up, the package includes the following:
VBSS enclosure painted in black with a wired speakon connector on the front
Binding post section removed from the back of the enclosure
Dayton PA460 sub, still in factory box with inserts
Some pics below. Please excuse the crappy cell pics. They make the enclosure look worse than it is. The driver is still in the box, never been fired up.
Tagging all my indy folks, and some of the chicago/IL ones: @trav0810, @indyhawg, @bored184, @oldrocker, @WLDock, @erniejade, @tonyb, @pitdogg2,
