Am I missing something

So I am sitting here and see this center on Amazon for dirt cheap

https://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-TSx-Channel-Speaker/dp/B00CHHCAU2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1479780138&sr=8-2&keywords=tsx250c

Last I looked this was a $200+ speaker. I know its not a match for my RTi8 but hey I might just grab it. I would then be forced to make a new entertainment center, which is a good thing. I would use baltic birch and get rid of the Lowe's oak thing I made.
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Yes, it's a good deal on its own, however, it's not the kind of piece to build an entertainment center around, IMHO.

Why not search around and find a CSi3 or CSi5 that does match your current speakers? May not cost much more at all.

A few years ago I built a custom entertainment center out of Lowe's crap oak. I had no idea at the time what I was doing, I just did it. Now I know a little more and have been wanting to do it right with a good wood like Baltic Birch.

Yes i have been keeping my eye out for a deal on a cherry CSi5, I have the A4 in there now.

That would not be an upgrade over your current center imho. I had the tsi line as a demo, wasn't much better than the monitor series to me ears. And when I upgraded from a cs1 to a csi3 the difference was significant. Stick with what u got...

    Thanks for the reply,

A while ago some coworkers and I killed a couple of hours at Fry's demoing speakers. We all actually liked the TSX a little more on music than the RTia5. My RTI 8 are great on movies but do get a little brite on music... I still crank it up louder.

I am still thinking of getting the speaker. It will make me redo the entertainment center.
