Goodbye Garden 2016

Many of you old time Polkies recall that I love my gardening hobby as much as audio. I grow flowers, no vegetables. Well I finished cleaning out the garden on Friday. I had a really nice growing year. Great weather with just the right amount of rain. The killer frost didn't come until mid November. I thought that I would show a few before and after photos.

Good to see you don't get sucked into one of the gardening traps, as expressed by an expert up our way, Charlie Nardozzi.Don't be a sentimental gardener
It was a good gardening season up here. Terrible drought just south of us, but hot and dry with enough water to grow most stuff well. We had a 'mater crop that amost made me think I was back in B-more (although the 'maters still lacked the intensity of flavor I grew up with in "Annaranel" (Anne Arundel) County, MD).

We made, if memory serves, eight gallons of roasted 'mater sauce -- most of which was frozen away for the cold, dark days of winter in northern New England.

Beautiful Gardens Carl, your lawn still looks inviting even without the blooms.

Super nice yard you got there, it just grabs you and says "sit down and enjoy it out here".
My back yard says "why don't you pick up a rake now and then?"So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I gotta build a patio myself.
Everyone tells me how nice my yard always looks but there's no where to sit and enjoy it.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
Beautiful setting, Carl. The spirits of your garden are vacationing in Florida for a few months.
