M3II speakers

I have some M3IIs and while taking them off the wall, I broke both golf tees on one of the speakers that hold them to the bracket. Long story short, I was thinking about reusing them as rear surround channels but the new remodel has the only way to mount speakers is on the ceiling. Yes, I know this isn't optimal but does anyone have any ideas on how to mount these to the ceiling now that the golf tees are broken on one of the speakers. Could I drill a hole into the cabinet and install a ceiling mount that way?
