With the surrounds gone, hopefully they don't have other damage.

The surrounds are foam, they rot. Dynavox may still sell replacement woofers and I think there was someone on the Carver forum that found a place that sells the proper, very unique foam surround for those that want to do it themselves.
Between the ribbons (good luck getting those fixed) and the woofers I would not buy a pair today.Political Correctness'.........defined

From what I hear today parts for the ribbons are unobtainium. Are there other woofers one could use? I know on some of the other Carver speakers (ALS III I believe) they switched out the factory woofers for Infinity woofers that some agreed were a much better woofer compared to factory.
I myself would pass....

They must have recently come back in stock since I didn't see them when I last checked in May.

The newer ones look nicer vs the original ones. I will say when I had them they were a great speaker. Not the loudest on the block but open, clean, and need a LOT of room to breath. Beyond that, I agree with F1on his last comment.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

John, that is the wrong woofer for the Platinum version. This is the correct one.

I have regular Amazings so that's the woofer I need.
