I plan on picking one up for the kids but from what I hear, they're going to be nearly impossible to get lol. It's considered this Holiday season's "hot item".

Amazon will have some for sale at 5:00 eastern time.

All the targets by me have them in store still but Best Buy is sold out.

Sometimes some of the best places to try are more low-key outlets when it comes to electronics, such as Kohls or whatever. You'll be surprised sometimes.

I still own the "real deal".
No need to buy the classic.

I still own the SNES that I received as a kid. Ahhh, kids these days will never understand the idea of having to blow the cartridges out before starting up and playing the game.

I actually bought the cleaning/rehab kit for the original a couple of years ago. She's still a fickle b*tch.

Looked up the game lineup, not too shabby. Are they releasing any other games or is that it?

I heard a rumor that they may go one of two routes:

    1. They will release some sort of update (unsure how) which will add more games.

    2. They will release a 2.0 version of this, containing a completely different selection of games.

It's really unknown what they plan to do with this yet. Still a good start regardless.

You could just download a NES emulator and buy a USB controller. Not that this isn't cool or anything, although be aware how short the controller cable on this is.

I don't know about you but cord length was never an issue for me ;)

Well, at least I still have this. Hooked it up for the kids. First time powering on in over....20+ years now? Still works like a charm. Had to explain to the kids the concept of "blowing the cartridge" lol.

A couple of years ago I sold my old systems on ebay for $187.76! I had two systems, 15 games, a wireless joystick, a couple of guns, several controllers.
