My first exposure to him was watching him on SNL decades ago. I remember thinking that here's a voice that's quite different from so much of what I heard on the radio. I won't say that I know a huge amount about him or his music, but I sure appreciated him and his music.

I remember hearing in one of his recent interviews about his new album, that he said he was ready to go. Who would have thought it was going to so soon after saying that?

I 'discovered' him when Old Ideas came out and was blown away. I have thouroughly enjoyed discovering the rest of his work ever since.
