SDA CRS 6305 woofer distorting/farting out

Hey, I just returned home after a month away and I found my stereo position woofer 6305 is distorting (SDA CRS). It is intermittent, difficult to reproduce etc. to the point Im not sure what the issue is. My SDA cable is worn hence has an intermittent connection, and I havent been able to rule out my old Adcom tuner as the source of the distortion. Magnets appear fine. I couldnt measure the DCR bc my meter is not with me. I just switched the dimensional one with the problematic stereo one and havent had the issue since the switch. Not enough info for a diagnosis here, but wanted to bring it up see what folks had to say.

Distortion occurred on high level passages. I thought it was the cable at 1st, bc it sounds more like a bad connection to me than a physical issue with a driver. But I cannot reproduce it by fiddling with the cable. With the possible single exception I have only heard the distortion when the tuner as source as well.

I also was suprised to find the bottom fuse seems to be for the dimensional tweeter, since I thought I remember it being the top one when I 1st addressed it. Maybe I just misremembered. Guess I should do the magnet glue I have been putting off.

Pretty sure this is an issue with my Adcom GTP400 preamp. Maybe a bad capacitor? It only happens on right channel. The sound is distorted and reduced output, to the point no signal comes thru at all (when balance shifted all the way right) sometimes, other times it is reduced dB with farting out of entire freq spectrum. It is usually fine though; I made it go back to normal by just switching input pot to CD and then back to tuner. It has only happened once in CD source, usually its the onboard tuners source that reveals the issue.
