I was at Costco yesterday and saw this camera system on sale.

What are the pros and cons of this camera?

    Honestly I don't know, I was at Costco the other day looking for security cameras as well. FWIW, I don't know what you're after in terms of number of cameras, etc....but taking reviews with a grain of salt, there's a Lorax system that i don't believe is avail at Costco or other stores....not sure but it has a lot of nice features.

    One thing I don't like about the reviews, is you will find the same exact review on completely separate models. Also, look at the number of reviews.....I don't think Lorax sells only a couple hundred units...there's likely many, many happy owners.

    With that being said, again, I know you're after the Arlo....I was also until I spoke with Lorax about this system.

    There are other models with separate camera configurations but the 2K cameras, with color night vision seem like a nice setup.

    I haven't bought one, but I am going back and forth with the Arlo as well.....I like the total wireless setup so I'm looking for reviews also.

    I'm not totally sold on this model, just curious as to its quality since the totally wireless feature caught my attention. I will definitely look into the Lorax model.

    you know I have been looking into some security system also. while at first I thought wireless may be a plus now I'm left wondering if they would be easier to override with a jamming device. Now I do not want to seem overly paranoid but we also can't discount that with technology the way it is I'm sure some kid could put something together to do it rather easily.

    Should this be something to also take into consideration?

    Reviving this. Just curious if any of you purchased the arlo or Lorex system? If so how do you like it? Also if not looks like hey are having a Black Friday sale on the lorex.

    Lorax is having a 25% off black Friday sale. Just curious, if anyone looked at the system I linked, did you by chance remember the price? I thought it was about $850 but could be mistaken. The price is now about $1100 which would negate the discount but again I could be wrong.

    That's really weird. The other day I had the link pulled up and was $697 with the 25% discount. Now it's 1300 before the discount.

    I called them and spoke with a rep. He said he would honor the $697 price for a few days.

    Why even change the price....guess they figure some wouldn't notice or not look until the holidays.
