Hey guys, I have pork 5 1/4 inch speakers all the way around for my surroundsound monitor 30s in the rear and 40s in the front and cs10 center. and I was thinking about upgrading with center channel with a paradigm cc 270 V3. Which has 6 1/2 inch drivers Do you think it would be OK to blend of these speakers together

Of course it is ok. None of my speakers match and it sounds just fine to me. There are no set rules in audio, so if you want to try it out do so.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

I thought you were gonna say pork sandwiches (I'll be right over)
What is doing the blending? Audyssey x32 does a great job at that. -
Could cause the formation of a black hole that sucks up your whole living room and the cat as well, but yeah.....you'll be fine.HT SYSTEM-

Btw, the size of the drivers is not so much a factor as the timbre - think tone or voice - of the speakers. For HT, a lot of folks are particular about matching the timbre at least across the front three speakers. Bottom line is, it could be a close match or it could be way off. A better upgrade might be the CS20. Also, what are you using to drive these speakers? An amplification upgrade can do wonders.
PS - CS20 info here. Polk wrongly identifies this speaker as having "dual 5 1/4-inch drivers" in the text at the top of the page, however, the specs below that indicate 6 1/2-inch drivers. Hey @D2Lo how about getting someone to fix this? -
Haha thanks for all the responses. Btw my amp is a denon 3808ci

I'm using a B&W center which is a little up front and Energy RC70s as L-R which are laid back sounding. I like the crisp high end of the B&W for dialog.TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K

Given the system already has a matching center speaker, why replace it with something that doesn't match? A mismatched center will certainly function but why go to the effort to replace a good speaker that already matches the rest of the speakers with something that doesn't use a similar tweeter? For home theater the most important speaker is the center, and it is actually the tweeter that is most important of the drivers for home theater use. A recent receiver will adjust the tone curve a bit if auto setup is run but not enough to cancel out big differences in tone. Anyway, I would not consider the CC270 to be an upgrade. A Polk CS20 would be, but even then not much. I wouldn't spend money on a CC270 as an upgrade, but if it is already owned or free there is no harm in seeing how it sounds other than spending time trying it out.
