    My opinion is based on previous sales, you're running a little hot. I think it'll take a few more price cuts before someone bites but that's just my 2 cents.

    Since the amps are black in color it indicates they are fairly recent builds. Some of the silver amps could be up to 12-15 years old by now. So, difficult to gauge a price on these in the broader market based on prior sales. If selling these elsewhere, may be helpful in moving them to say what build date they have. They are beauties.

    Typically I have noted even 3 year old silver amps sell for low 4s. I know because I've hunted for the right jc1

    I just bought a pair locally here in DFW area and was under $4, but of course, they were silver and not black. However, I been unable to determine if the color affects the sound. :):)

    Yeah for a jc1 to sell it typically is low 4s and high 3s if you're lucky.

    I did not realize this was a FS post when I posted my deal above. Not very courteous. Everyone is of course happy with a good deal but I did not mean to take away from Sumerian's offer.
    Full disclosure is mine are much older than the items offered for sale here and are of the least desirable silver color. I believe the asking price is fair and reasonable considering the age/condition of these amps.
    Had I not found mine locally earlier I would indeed be interested in these at this price. GLWTS

    Age and color and condition play a role so maybe someone will find these a good deal at his asking. It is $9,000 retail afterall + tax.

    If you don't mistakes then either you're oblivious or you're perfect.

    Bottom line, it's tough to sell a piece like this on Polk FS market. If it's not at competitive pricing you ain't going to sell. It's not every day something at this price point sells here. The present market is just not overwhelmingly present for this type of a high end product.

    Again, I assume he has this posted on other sites, perhaps the higher end audio sites.

    Hmm i searched for months i couldnt find one at the price suggested so i bought new... Its always the case when you want to buy its cashew nuts when you want to sell its peanuts. I would rather keep these than selling them at those prices.
