Ii am guessing your 4x4 room size in in meters which would be 13x13 feet. Do you have an idea of how much you wish to spend?

Yamaha seems to have the best consistency for long term reliability, with value pricing and performance. Most brands current mid market models range in the 400-700 range.
If your looking to purchase new I'd suggest goggling "Best value AV receivers for 2016" or something similar to get a list of various recommended brand's features and reviews.
Bear in mind that if you want to get a definitely notable improvement in the quality of stereo snd, pick one that has pre outs for the front channels. As av receivers are noted for their lack in performance of 2chn music. This allows you to add a external amp to power the front spks. which also improves surround snd since the av receiver is now left to only power the center and rear spks
For more detailed info on this try goggling "adding a external amp to a av receiver" or something similar -

This is probably the best deal going for an AVR at the moment. -
I am also guessing you are overseas? That probably limits your options.
We need a budget, location, and a few options that you are considering to help us guide you.
And I agree that marantz is sweet, but in US dollars that's probably what you would pay for all his speakers. Seems like overkill to me...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
Game Room 5.1.4: Denon AVR-X4200w; Sony UBP-x700; Definitive Technology Power Monitor 900 mains, CLR-3000 center, StudioMonitor 350 surrounds, ProMonitor 800 atmos x4; Sub - Monoprice Monolith 15in THX Ultra
Bedroom 2.1 Harmon Kardon HK3490; Bluesounds Node N130; Polk RT25i; ACI Titan Subwoofer -

if, very friendly
I am in Argentina
All is very hard here, but "Polk Audio" is what you get and I pay.
I provided an example of the price here
RTi A3 (Pair) 800 US
Csia4 550 US
Polk Audio PSW125 Subwoofer 800 US
Here suggested Marantz Sr 7010 3900 US (WTF)
Suggesting, for room 13x13 feet?
I have wifi receiver to use Spotify
thanks -
Hi friend, welcome to the forum!
I think that you will be very happy with the Marantz NR1607. I have the NR1403 in my bedroom and I have been very happy with it. The Audyssey is excellent, and the 50 WPC is honest, unlike many receivers. Most mass market receivers will state 100+ WPC, but with 5 channels driven that number often drops BELOW 40 WPC. So that Marantz is plenty, smooth sound, very musical, and I think the internet connectivity if offers (similar to denons I have owned as well). And the Marantz has pre-outs for the main channels, so if you ever want more power you can have it!
So if you have access to a NR1607 in your price range, I would not hesitate.
Good luck!Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

Thank you so much
So with this configuration not have problems
Polk Audio RTI A3 Bookshelf Speakers
Polk Audio CSI A4
Polk Audio PSW125
Marantz NR1607
Obviously never going to get to 100wats x channel, but listen well.
As maximum power is listening to 1607?
Thank you -
I think that would be a nice little setup.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden
