csi5-different levels from the right and left speaker

i've tried 3x csi5's and i'm finding that the left speaker has less volume than the right and when i measured it using my ovation speaker setup disk, i found the left speaker on the first one to be 5db spl down from the right one and my second and third csi5 is about 3 db down from the right speaker. i also noticed i get more high notes out of the right than the left .
i phoned polk to discuss and they said the levels should be the same.
what's going on here and what should i expect?

I'm not sure why you'd have three of these, but in any case try switching around the way they're hooked up and see if the one with lower db stays with the speaker or the channel.

The Polk centers use a tapered array... --- one driver plays louder than the other, it is designed this way. It is not broke, there is nothing wrong. It is made that way to diperse the sound all the way around the room instead of just right infront of it -- have a great day- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

check the channel levels in the receiver settings...most receivers will allow you to change the volumes of the individual channels....your right channel may be set lower.

thx for the help , i had a feeling it was designed that way, but the polk help line said the levels should be equal.
i don't actually have 3, i took the first one back when the polk help line said there was something wrong, and exchanged it for another one. i did this twice.

I could be wrong but I think the two "mids" are crossed-over differently, so depending on the frequencies going into the speaker, you could get different volumes from each speaker.
