Product announcement. Polk BOOM Bit.
Hey there forum dudes.
Thought you might like to see another new product we released today. While you can see we have been heavily focusing on home theater systems and soundbars of late, today's launch is for the Polk BOOM Bit which is our smallest speaker ever. So small that it is wearable.
The use cases we are thinking for these are almost more of a headphone replacement. For example, when biking, it is dangerous to wear headphones. In fact in CA I think it is now illegal. This is a small speaker that produces a nice 'bubble of sound', enough for you to enjoy the music but not blast out the people around you. It also has speakerphone capabilities so if you are in a car that doesn't have bluetooth for example, you have nice hands free system without having to wear an ear piece.

Great little product. A lot of us in the office have been product testing them for the last few months and it is one of those little gadgets you seem to make excuses to use. Having the USB A directly on the product means you never have to have a charge cord as well.
Fun fact, all of the "athletes" in the video are members of our design team.

How does it compare to the Swimmer? I got that for my brother who runs Ultra Marathons. It works hooked to his bag, but he'd obviously like something that weighs a bit less but still gives him the massive sound the Swimmer does...."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." I'll take door number 3.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

The Swimmer is much louder and more full range and has a longer battery life. The two advantages to the Bit are it is extremely lightweight and small, and because you can clip it to your collar, you don't need it to be that loud. I lost never have mine turned up over half way. As more of an extreme case, I've used it while driving a convertible with the top down clipped to my collar. Still could hear the music pretty well, though cranking it to max volume drains the battery.

Hi All. I recently have had to replace the battery on my Polk Boom Bit. There was no information online so I decided to write a guide documenting the battery replacement procedure for the Polk Boom Bit. This guide is courtesy of Antenna Direct Perth
