Dynaco up and running

I don't know if you guys knew that my $60 Dynaco Pat- s.s. pre/amp was shall we say quitting on me. One channel on the amp output port was putting out some static and cutting out but not entirely. Finally after using the Sony E2000ESD that Pumpkinman gifted me and said no, it's more of a surround processor than a pre/amp and was a pain to dial in I took another look at the Pat-4. I deoxit it both all knobs and controls and more importantly ran some through all the female RCA ports and it's ALL BETTER NOW. I still miss the remote but since I'm way more active now after the knee replacement I can get up and change sources. Whoohoo

Sometimes it's amazing what a little cleaning will do. I did the same with my PAS4 and while I'm not entirely sure it sounds better it does make me feel better :)

  • Have you tried the Deoxit on the knee?
