PB2-ISD Review, Some mighty low thoughts.

Unpacking the SVS PB2-ISD that spent a night on a freight truck at 10 degrees give new meaning to the word “ice box”. Quality packaging on the 105 Lbs. PB2-ISD chased away any fears of damage from a rough delivery.

A quick sound check to make sure everything was hooked up and functioning correctly sent me to Home Depot.
After 30 sec. my floorboards under carpet were just turned into toothpicks like Godzilla just stomped on them in a rage! I placed concrete patio bricks 1” thick underneath to tame the PB2-ISD, worked wonders.

The fit and finish of the PB2-ISD was 1st class. The finish is black pebble that gives a luxurious
felling as well as look. Corners were well rounded. SVS easily outclassed any Polk construction.

Calibration with Avia and the Radio Shack SPL meter was quick and effortless.

Music: I sampled several types of bass on CD’S. U2, Metalica, Enya and a verity of orchestras.
I was surprised at what I have been missing all these years. The PB2-ISD played rich deep bass
that was just invisible from my previous subwoofer the Polk PSW-450.

Video: Nail in all four corners of any hanging picture frames, Super glue nick-knacks firmly,
Be responsible- 30 sec. warning to women and children otherwise you clean up the brown spot.
SVS hype? Post after post have many wondering. The dual 12’s play deep and never seem
Stressed..Best comparison: When you’re at the air show and that wave of jet wash impacts
on you..yep that’s what SVS can deliver.

Prob. Some typos..but you get the idea.

All well and good, and I'm happy you are enjoying your new sub - but lets not forget what website you are on.

Just saying, even if it is true in your and others opinions, you might find a better way to phrase things. 'The finish outclasses anything I've seen to date', or some such. That, and its far from an apples to apples comparison now, isn't it?

Polk is trying to sell subs too, you know?

Again, congrats on your new sub - it's a solid performer, for sure.

    Cheers,
    Russ
