FS: Parting out SDA CRS

The cabinets on these have some damage and one mid-driver is bad. I don't have the time to fix them up, so I'm parting them out.

  • Are the passives the same ones used in the later model CRS+'s?

Yes, the SW102 was used in all the pin/blade CRS+ versions.

Why are there 4 crossovers? Do the effect drivers have separate xovers? I have a pair of CRS. The effect tweeter on the right channel speaker produces no sound, but it works fine in the other cabinet. Therefore, the issue appears to be in the crossover. I have the effect tweeters disconnected as recommended on this forum, so it's not an issue for me.
If I decide to sell them someday, it might be easier if they work as designed.

Mine are serial number 4775, not that far off from yours. I imagine the crossovers are the same? I read in another thread that the CRS were made with 2 different xover versions.

Carl, I've got a guess that there are wired very similarly to my SDA 2s. They have the stereo crossovers and on a separate board inside the dimensional crossover parts live. I think it's a similar story in the these CRS's

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking. For $20 for these crossovers. it might be easier than to troubleshoot the existing ones.

Nbrowser is correct about the two separate boards.

Carl, Jupman wants the crossovers and SDA cable, we just have to work out the logistics. If that falls through you are next in line.
