    I used to sell them, Harold Beveridge was a brilliant designer. Electrostatic speakers with a builtin tube amplifier allows for one transformer to match the tubes output impedance with the necessary speaker's step up transformer, thereby replacing two transformers with one. The speakers were placed on the flanking walls, to the left and right of the listener totally disappearing with the sound coming from between. They were great sounding, but a bit fiddly.
