Wanted - Receiver for a friend

A friend of mine is having problems with a vintage receiver that's not worth fixing. They're looking for something newer. Their basic requirement is they want to play vinyl, so decent phono, and they would also like hdmi, and are talking about streaming, appleplay or whatever, although I'm not familiar enough with that to know if its feasible in what they're willing to pay. They don't need pre-outs. Anybody have an entry level Yamaha or Pioneer (Elite?), etc., that they're not using or want to move along? Thanks

Decent phono + hdmi= not cheap. Like preouts, phono is becoming an option only on higher end avrs, which I am assuming is what they want if they want hdmi?
And I don't have anything at the moment, but price range would probably help.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

No idea how good the phono sections'd be, but these could be options, I would think.

urps missed the HDMI requirement -- sorry.
External phono preamp is probably the cost-effective way to go, you know?
They are available at all price points (although, like everything else, one gets what one pays for).

Thanks.

I also missed this was a specific WTB -- sorry!

No problem, thanks for the input. I was thinking the introductory level Pioneer Elite's had HDMI and phono, and no pre-outs, and relatively inexpensive used but my experience is limited. I know if all things were equal, they may prefer another Yamaha, as that's what they have now with their vintage receiver, (I'm not at all familiar with newer Yammy's) but I think they'd be happy with a variety of other brands too. Not sure of their budget specifically, will have to get more specific, may be somewhat flexible. Lol. I have also suggested to them that an external phono stage would be a good option, I would think a Parasound z-phono would satisfy them in that regard, which are very reasonable used.
