Thoughts on the CX Series from Cambridge Audio? I am intrigued by the transport and CXA60 integrated amp. My speakers are Cambridge Audio Aero 6.
Reviews on the net seem pretty favorable. Thanks.

I wish I had been a beta tester for that piece of gear as it looks REALLY COOL."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)

I haven't heard any of it, but I seriously considered the transport. Reviews are not easy to come by.
I believe there's one on the 'gon, new in box, for a great price. -
Sorry dskip but a transport is not a waste of money. I have found the wow factor with the BMR tweeter technology they offer, so I thought a logical choice for electronics would come from the same manufacturer.
I realize the forum is about dead, but thought I would see if anybody had any experience with the CX line. -
I've been very pleased by all of the Cambridge stuff I have heard/owned...
Certainly can't say the same for Marantz.

Before my Pass gear I had the Cambridge Audio 840E preamp, and two 840W amps in bridged mono mode (800W @ 4 ohm). Total price was the price of my demo Pass XP-20 preamp. The CA gear easily held its own with the Pass, and only lost out at high SPL output. I would expect the new CA models to be equal or better than the 840 series.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

CDs are pass'e. You need a TT and vinyl.

This player is attractive to me cuz you can bypass the internal DAC if you want and hand the info to an external DAC. Flexible. Hmmm, no SACD?

For me personally, SACD is not a contributing factor in my decision. I have like 3 of them. Redbook. No computer audio.

o.k. Do you mind used?

These are the models I am interested in:
I think new with the 3 year warranty may be the route I go. Thanks for the PM rednedtugent.

nice clean look. I like it.

I like the clean look too. Less cables to buy as well!
