Finally got a chance to hook up the Plinius today and get a proper listen. First of all, a great transaction, fast shipping and unit was very well packed. I was able to listen to a CD (Brothers in Arms) and a pretty wide range of files from my Mac via toslink / Schiit Bifrost. Very happy with this transaction and purchase. The sound is very detailed and balanced. To me, there seemed to be more "weight" to the sound, with a nice punch even at low volumes. Nothing is hyped, and what I noticed most was the clarity of guitars. A "go to" track for me is the "Hell Freezes Over" version of "Hotel California". AcG sounded like it was in the room, and drums were solid and not boomy.

Seems as though we have the same tastes in our reference material ;) I think your description of more "weight" to the sound is spot on. I never would have thought to use that term to describe it, but having heard this piece on several sets of speakers, I know exactly what you mean.

I'm glad you're enjoying it (though I had no doubt you would).

Update: All items in this thread have been SOLD. Thanks to all the buyers and I hope you're enjoying your new gear.
