Speaker Jumper Length

Aloha,

I hope all is well with you. I am wanting to make some speaker jumpers. Why, because I just want too. What lebgth do you recommend? I am guestimating about 8-10 imches should suffice. Your thoughts?

Depends on the speaker cable you use. Some stuff bends easy, some doesn't.

I have premade xlo jumpers that are stiff and not much longer than 6 inches. If that.

    Happy New Year everyone!
Rather than start a new thread I thought I would piggy back on this one for relevance.

I want to make my own cable jumpers as well and figure 6-8 inches is ideal for my application (depending on flexibility of the cable).

What would be an ideal cable gauge to use for the jumpers?
I have read online that the jumpers should be matched in gauge to the speaker cables but that thought was not universal so I wanted to see what the consensus is here.

    Thanks for any feedback

Hell the jumpers I made are less than 4 inches. I dont see any reason to go any longer than distance and flexibility dictate.

consensus here make them out of the same stuff your speaker cable is made out of.

Same cable as your speaker cable and whatever length is required.

Keep it simple. Use the same as those connecting your AVR, keep them short as practical.
