A passive Pre with a remote? Yep...it needs power. All the power does is switch the input relays and allow a volume remote control. This also has the unique feature of having three inputs with a four click selector (Klaus sent the wrong one) but it works just fine. Use that last click as a parking spot! There are four sets of inputs... Your mystery to solve!
Two inputs and HT bypass. One output.
Chassis is in decent condition and very heavy for a passive - probably close to 12 lbs. Gray stuff on the interior is some sound damping that I put in there.

Comes with power cord and remote. I've been using this for years in a bedroom system.
This is a PRE amp - you still have to find something to power your speakers.
$200 before shipping arrangements. I want this to arrive in one piece and I'll need to source out a box and a pile of bubble wrap.

Here's a review that does a better job of explaining it:

It was in Polkie Price mode...
This thing looks awesome and normally I'd try for it, but I dont even use the Carver C1 I have (which I plan to mod to add a remote to someday), and with the Anthem I have I'm good to go.
I'm shocked someone else hasnt snagged this yet. Cool piece."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Hey! Use the HT bypass and it can be the volume control...
Always here to help.
