Is anyone familiar with CORAL 10TX-70 Full range speakers.
I'm trying to figure out what they would be worth and if I could used them to make a set of omnidirectional speakers.

Not a fullrange per se but rather a coaxial -- well, some would say "triax", since they have whizzer cones for the MR as well as the (more or less) coaxially-mounted treble horns.
Coral made some Lowther-like, true "fullrange" (single voice coil) drivers -- those are held in fairly high repute.
I don't know this particular driver... but I'd expect good things... and a fairly high price tag for a pair on very good condition.
Should be high sensitity, and (I suspect) low Qts. "Great for tube amps"
If you spring for 'em, try 'em with a single-ended 2A3 or 300B amplifier -- maybe in a pair of back-loaded horn cabinets or a mass-loaded TQWT.
... and keep us posted
EDIT: I suppose you could mount them vertically and make something like the Hegeman speaker of the 1950s (or like the lower-end Ohm "Walsh" speakers, still made even today) ... but these Corals are gonna be best suited for on-axis use, I would think.
The dispersion of that tweeter isn't likely to be optimal for omni-use (again, I would think).

Thanks so much for the info mhardy6647. What do you think the price range should be. They are listed at $200 but seller is flexible.Home Theater & Listening

I would think that's a reasonable price for a pair assuming all is well with them.

I know this a really old thread but thought I'd try anyway.
I was gifted a pair of these speakers some time ago and finally decided to see if they were any good. Turns out they're not. One doesn't work.
An ohm meter across the terminals shows an open circuit on the dodgy one, 8 ohms as expected on the other.
Is there any remedy for this? What would I look for on the speaker? Everything looks identical on both units so I can't see what needs fixing, if anything can be fixed. -
