I am on my way to meet his father at 3P.M. EST today. I am going to need a bit of help from some of you to get fair prices for his wife. She is in a bad way financially. And I am going to do everything I can to help them out in this situation. All items will be for sale by the end of today. His 2 channel, and home theater. I will only be helping with the listings and the pricing, All payments will be made directly to Geoffs Wife. Her family will be helping with all shipping. This is really bad timing for me, I am swamped at work.
I will start posting pictures later and I am going to need some help guys, with fair pricing.
Thanks,
Mike

I spoke to TampaPolkFan this afternoon and what he is doing is hopefully going to help Geoff's wife, Suzanne in a horrible time for her. It would be great if the forum could step up and help by identifying some gear and helping set fair prices so that Suzanne could recoup maximum value for the gear. I'm hoping this thread stays active, and Mike is allowed to get the help setting prices and sell the gear for Suzanne even though he may be a little short of the 100 post requirement.

I can't see anyone objecting to an exception to the rules for this cause.Political Correctness'.........defined

Subwoofer looks like an M&K SB1250 Active subwoofer. I'm guessing the amp on the back is 250 watts. Maybe from the 2008-2010 year range. Someone else can hopefully do a better job pricing it. They were fairly expensive new, $1300-ish American I believe.

I think it's a great thing.

Thanks MrBuhl. There are more cables and extra stuff too. I will start posting pictures here in a few. But that list is very accurate. Everything appears to be in good working clean well taken care of order.
I saw the bigenst SVS speaker box ever today. I am going to test it next weekend. But I personally have never seen something this big. -
Have you considered setting up a Go Fund Me page? I'm sure there are several here that would donate, I know I would.
-
That's a good idea. I will look into it right now.
-
Let me ask his wife first.

I have an interest in the Anthem amp, PM coming.
-
Ok, If you want something make us an offer, I have the green light.

Cinenova sold on ebay for 1400 and 750? I am thinking $1000 does that sound fair?

I'd say it does. I would suggest posting some details about how it will be packed to ship as IIRC its a HEAVY SOMBITCH.
@txcoastal1 had some heavy amps shipped from the east coast to texas so I'm sure he could give you some suggestions on the right way to package (and the costs to do so)
Also mention what shipping costs may be (and if they are included in that price) as it could be upwards of 75+ to ship if I had to guess.
I'm not interested in the amp myself, but it sure is a beast. Same with that SVS sub."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Thanks man, I think I will go help them if someone wants to ship it, most likely put it on a small pallet or crate? Shipping can easily be worked out. If someone knows a better way I am game to make this painless. But I think that price is fair, I have a Pm for the anthem at $300. I think that's a fair offer for that also? Agreed?

I tried confirming online, but doesn't that amp require a 20A plug? I tried confirming on the website, but I am missing the easy text. The wattage would certainly indicate so. -
Mike,
eBay is a good gauge for pricing gear. I like to think that buying stuff here from folks who we know are passionate about their gear and this hobby results in better transactions, and carries a level of trust you won't get on eBay. Therefore, I've found that prices around here are close to or maybe a little lower than eBay sales. When you figure there's no fee for listing here, it somewhat evens out, but the peace of mind you get buying here is invaluable.
I think what you've priced so far seems fair, if not very good deals. Could you maybe get more? Possibly, but it could take time, and that may not be an option.
The Earthquake Cinenova is a beast and seems like a solid deal at $1000. The Anthem MCA-2 (Series ii) at $300 is a very nice deal for a nice amp. I've owned Anthem before, and they are excellent.
I sent you a PM with some other thoughts on pricing for the other gear. I didn't feel it was appropriate for me to post here. Take those suggestions for what they are. Much of the gear, I don't have experience with... just going off eBay sold prices in the past several months.
Very nice of you to help out here. -

You should probably list if that price include shipping or not"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

Anyway, Geoff liked the Chanes and let go of his LSi. I posted up his feedback here: http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/comment/2260135#Comment_2260135
I hope they are able to move them quickly. I had them posted on several forums, eBay, craigslist, USA Audio Mart, etc. It took a long time for me to sell them.
