SDA tweeter binding post jumper

With regards to the 2.3 TL specifically, but this should cover the others as well, would it hurt anything to connect the tweeter leads to the mid driver posts inside the cabinet, eliminating the jumper?

I'm going to upgrade the binding posts and was thinking of connecting all the leads behind the binding post cup to the same post as the mids.

This brings up another question...can the tonality or overall sound of the speaker, be altered using different gauge wires to the tweeter if a jumper was used. My line of thinking is with past discussions of bi-wiring using seperate strands for the highs and lows. When I was using AQ Crystal, I remember AQ stating to use so many separate insulated strands for the highs and the rest for the mids, all withing the same cable.

I would think a direct connection to the midrange posts would be ideal but maybe using the same leads as the mids may change things. Does the short jumper for the highs change anything even given the very short length of wire used or is it not even a measurable difference.

Other folks have dumped the OEM jumpers in favor of boutique cable, and claimed an improvement in sound.

You can do it, and actually thought about it many years ago, just make some nice jumpers and call it a day, not only that, if you ever sell them, the buyer might want it that way!!
