Thank goodness it's Friday!
Just got out of a 24 hour shift... I bolted out of there like I broke out of jail! The air smells better, breakfast tastes tastier... Freedom!!
Hopefully you guys are having a good Friday as well!

Alot of folks out of the office today, so it's been quiet. Probably put the klipsch x4i earbuds in after lunch and zone out the rest of the afternoonOh, Listen here mister. My job can go from basic work hours to 24/7. I am starting to inch back to 24/7, which I actually like. That is because I am developing and tweaking my software, and it is becoming better recognized, which should mean more stock.
My current plan is to make as much as I can and then retire in three years, at 70. LOLLumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

Have a great weekend everyone!
The classroom requirement for my summer internship ended last week. I will be staying on for a full year as that is the offer that they extended to me; The experience alone is definitely worth it.
The autumn quarter begins on the 7th of this month so I have just enough time to relax and breathe before classes begin.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for my undergraduate degree and I'm applying to graduate (masters) schools in the near future.
It's going to be keeping me busy for a few months...lol.Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

I submitted 5 proposals this week, opened 4 new projects, ran 3 meetings, dealt with 2 staff issues/conflicts (and a partridge in a pear tree...). As an engineer, it stinks that I can't remember the last time I did any actual engineering.
TGIF is right!
Hope everyone enjoys their long weekend!

I assume your 24h work is at home?

My work load is as follows:
Full time: Fifteen 8 hour shifts.
Part time 1: Two 24 hour shifts.
Part time 2: One (to two) 10 hour shift.
That leaves me about 12-13 days off in a month, includes 2 weekends.
I'm not doing this forever but am wanting to max it while I can. Maybe a couple years like this (or 5).
My wife's a pharmacist and she used to be full time and it was great because we could almost live on her salary alone. But when Emma came, we had to cut back and make sacrifices. We figured it was better for Emma to always have a parent home. So now she works 4 8h shifts a month (every other weekend). The way we did this was I picked up just a few more.
It's much better that I pick up an extra 24h shift or an extra shift as it offloads on my wife, each regular shift I do is about 4 of hers. Each 24h shift is about 11-12 of her shifts.
So it makes sense for me to be the breadwinner.

Yes. Physically at work for some time during the day, and then home. High speed internet access is crucial. Most times it is a little keyboard time, but sometimes it gets hectic.
