Hello. First of all yes I'm a newbie, so please be patient with me because well.....I'm a newbie So I just received a pair of MM124's and was plaining on running both of them with 1 C500.1. I saw where Cody said he was running 550 to his and I was wondering if that was to each sub? My amp speced out at 560 @ 2 Ohms and will 280 each not be enough?
Thanks for everything.

1 pair MM6
2 MM124's

Memphis T(I think)3004
PolkMOMO C500.1
Ebay Special VOODOO 2.4 farad cap and some 1/0 gauge power and ground wire
The hold up is the fact that I have removed all interior body panels for sound deadening purposed and severely underestimated the time it would take to mat the whole car. I was thinking "maybe a day or two".
I'm attempting a stealth install in the somewhat factory locations. Wish me luck. -
well, youll be running them at half their rated power...
id get either 2 300.2s and run one to each sub or only get 1 sub...
either way, id take the 300.2, its cheaper, and if youre not running it at 2 ohms, it puts more watts out at 4 ohms than the 500

I already have the C500.1 amp. The MM124 are 4 Ohm single VC which I was going to wire them to a 2 Ohm load, but I now see what you are talking about. So I guess my question is will the subs still sound good with only 280 going to each one? I guess I could sell the C500.12004 Nissan 350Z

I guess it depends on your listening habits
If you like it loud, its not going to do it for you
or you could just do a single mm124 off the 500
I could never live with only 280 per sub...but thats just me...im running almost 2k watts rms in my truck...
another thing, if you turn the gain up real high trying to squeeze out every bit of juice from the amp, chances are the amp will clip, kill the sub...and the amp will be damaged too
but if you get a bigger amp, you wont have to turn the gain up so high that you will risk clipping

i prefer to play square waves as opposed to music -- 100% clipping.
**** i'm kidding ******
far as the power goes -- if you were only going to run 280 then you should have gotten two of the momo carbon fiber mm2124's ... they'd be much better on 280 (and probably plenty loud enough for you) than the mm124 will be.
just the nature of the sub.The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -
I'm having 2 C300.2 amps shipped to me. Now I have to unload the C500.1. I guess I'll make a new thread to sell it.2004 Nissan 350Z
