Hi all. One of the CC's near has an open box 404 for only $250. Should I trade in my Velodyne CHT8 for it? Will it be noticably better than the CHT8? Let me know, thanks.

Yes it will be better then the velo 8" IMO, I had the 404 and its a pretty nice sub, and for 250 its a pretty good deal and you will get the warranty getting it from CC, the 505 i have heard is really good for a polk sub, If the cht8 was ok to you? The 404 will most likely be great for you

I thought Vel was a pretty good sub, much, much better than the PSW202 that I had gotten with the promotion.

Yes, the 404 will be noticeably better than the CHT8. The 404 is more of a competitor with the CHT10.

I got the 404 a couple of hours ago. I definitely think it's better than the Velodyne. The price was actually $299, but they took an extra $50 off because of a small nick on the back corner, which is hardly noticable. Thanks for the help guys.
