pictures aren't great - looks like a piano black top, is the rest of the same?
I just PM'd the seller. What are your thoughts on these speakers? I had some RTiA7s that I had to sell after moving into my new house (too big for the room), so I'm looking for some replacements for my main speakers in my HT setup.

+1, but I would offer him $300 and see what he says. You can always go up from that offer. Don't forget to do the push test.
I am curious though, you say these will replace RTiA7s that were too big for the room? The 2Bs are pretty large too, mine are 38h x 16w x 12d, and for comparison my RTi10s are 43h x 8w x 16d approx. (similar to A7s IIRC).
They do look to be in good shape though, good luck with them.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Not a bad price... I'd say the floor space required for the 2Bs is greater than the A7 as I have both... so surprised you're thinking you're down sizing.Music: Oppo103 - Parasound JC2 - Parasound A21- SDA 3.1

Legender, It's still a concern for me, but my main issue is Cabinent depth. Are these dimensions correct for 2Bs: 11-1/2"D x 16-1/2"W x 39-1/2"H
RTiA7s are about 18" deep or more (when taking into account the rear port. So that 7" is a big difference for meLiving Room: Receiver: Pioneer Elite SC-25 | Turntable: Technics SL-B200 | CD Player: Rotel RCD-955AX | Fronts: Polk RTiA3 | Center: Polk CSi A4 | Rears: Polk FXi3 | Sub: Velodyne DPS-10 | Cables: AudioQuest Type4 & TypeA

I can't give it to you exactly. If you have a larger room, say > 500 sq feet, you would
do better w/ the larger sub. More watts. 12 inch vs 10 in favorof the Hsu.
The Hsu's a pretty musical and you can tune them to your setup or tastes.
If he has it all set up I'd ask for a demo. -

Yes @hagmanm2 , those are the correct dimensions from the SDA 1C brochure which you can access here: http://www.polksda.com/manuals.shtml
And the the A7s are definitely narrower, but much deeper.Music: Oppo103 - Parasound JC2 - Parasound A21- SDA 3.1

I paid $275 for my 2B's about two years ago. I updated the tweeters to the RDO-194's from Polk at a cost of $100.
The original tweeters can be very fatiguing with some music, and sound better than the original tweeters.
I don't remember seeing any 2B's posted with the black end-caps recently. My 2B's are the studio version but I think the end-cap version looks the best.

Update folks: Seller put them back on the table. He's getting ready to move and he's now positive they won't fit in the new home.
Question --> is it worth getting these speakers if I have to put them right up against the wall, or should I stick with my LS50s?
I don't remember off the top of my head but I think the seating area is about 12' or 14' from the speaker/tv wall. PS, this is not the final setup for the room, rest of the HT equipment will be added on a rack to the left of where the receiver currently is. -_-

@polrbehr Hey, just to show how much I don't know about SDA 2Bs (all SDAs for that matter). Not being a SDA guy, I would almost recommend the sub over the speakers, especially if you are more HT oriented than 2 channel music. I think I had your sub once--got it in a package deal and sold it on ebay--it was actually pretty solid. BUT...that HSU will CRUSH it. Check out either the SVS owners thread (HSU and SVS are very comparable) or this thread: http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/159046/the-first-time-you-heard-a-real-subwoofer-after-owning-an-entry-level-sub/p2Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

With on port open that HSU will hit 108 db @16hz! That is insane! And yes, they are very musical, fast and natural sounding with low distortion and an even frequency response. That sub would rock your world...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

@polrbehr Hey, just to show how much I don't know about SDA 2Bs (all SDAs for that matter). Push test: is the woofer a passive woofer, meaning the push test is to make sure the cabinets are still air-tight: pushing the woofer in should cause the mids to push out a bit, correct?
The push test is generally two parts: 1. Make sure everything is working. Lightly press each 6.5" Mid Woofer (MW). They should move freely and you should not hear any scratching. The magnets can become unglued and shift. This can be fixed or the MW replaced. 2. Lightly press on the passive radiator (PR) and hold. The other cones should extend, and stay out from 1-3 seconds. The longer the better, but they all vary. This indicates how well everything is sealed.
IMO your space it tight. You could move the SDA's off the wall a few inches to match the end or center between the fireplace tile. It looks like the room is open on both sides, so placement near side walls should not be an issue. I think the left wall is short enough. If it is only a door way, there may be some reflections.
Listen to the speakers at the sellers, and see if you like the SDA effect. -
@rooftop59 thanks for the input - my 2 chan setup is in my office so yes this is mostly for HT & gaming
My opinion only, but if it is primarily for HT and gaming, I would not put SDA's in there. And I own and love my SDA's.
However, if there's any chance they will be for a mostly music system at some point, I would pick them up.
And for SDA's you want them pulled out from the wall a little bit. 6"-9" or so depending on the room and your model.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A
