So I have a pair of monitor 40's I'm currently unsung for my front L/R and recently picked up a pair of m20 towers for 20 bucks each. Wondering your guys thoughts on which is better for my fronts. The towers do have a higher RMS of 150 and 6.5's and the monitors are 125 RMS but with two 5.25's?? What's your opinions. I'm kinda leaning towards the towers after auditioning but they also won't fit cosmetically quite as good as the 40's I have.

Well I think the 40's might be a little bit to big for surround since I want to eventually get them set up on the wall I have Monitor 30's four surround now. I just didn't kno if people would say use the towers since they are high watts and has a bigger driver?

So I have a old house with a weird setup. My tv avr and all front speakers all sit on like a countertop kinda thing against the wall almost like a bar. So if I did use the towers they would have to by on the ground while everything else is back further up on the counter. Might not be to bad tho. I just wanted to see if anyone had any strong opinion on whether I should use a tower with 6 1/2 inch speaker and higher RMS or the monitor 40 with 2 5 1/4 inch speakers. I also thought maybe 2 5 1/4 inch speakers would produce more base but I'm really not sure if that's true after listening.

I also just picked up four more polk m10 speakers that could be very good for side surround and rear surround because I heard from ported speakers would be much better to mount to the wall.
