Testing my 3.1TLs (sound is a bit off) and DRC measurements?

The left channel on my new to me 3.1TLs sounds a little flat compared to the right channel. Also, vocals appear to be slightly skewed to the right. I upgraded the crossovers with Clarity Cap ESAs, but left the old 55mfd cap in the left crossover because one of the two 27mfd caps I received for that crossover had a bad lead. I fired up my system and heard a pretty good "pop" but no magic smoke. I thought I may have blown a cap or something but the crossover seems (looks) fine. Also, I can't seem to find any DCR measurements for the 3.1 (i.e, not in the SDA manual or SDA sticky). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I'd say because the left one has the old cap in it and the right one has the new cap that's your issue. Not sure on the popping issue.

I personally would never have completed it until I had all the proper caps on hand.

Yeah, that was my first guess. I should have waited but patience is not one of my strong points. I did measure the old 55mfd cap from the other crossover and it was 65mfd (15% off). Thanks for the quick reply!

Is your amp common ground? What caps did you use?

I used my Carver A760x. I use the same amp on my 1Cs and they sound fantastic.

Ok, I don't know if it is common ground or not, but since you have used it, would seem to be. So, what caps did you use? The popping may have been the result of something on the crossover shorting out.

I replaced the old 55uf cap (which measured 65uf) with two stacked Clarity ESAs (which measured 54.7uf) and the sound is much more centered. Let the break-in period begin.
