Hi,
I just wired new EX3 speakers in my daughters Honda civic but I am not totally sure I got the positive wires on the positive plug ins on the speakers. As the old speakers didn't have pos-neg. There is a Pioneer cd radio in the dash.
Are there any easy or quick way to make sure these are connected properly ?
Thank you,
Scott

Hi:
One way is to switch the wires around, if they are out of phase there will be very little base response. Another is to call Crutchfield and they will send you a diagrame of your car's radio hookup. That is what I did, only I called and they gave me the info.

Some have used a 9 volt, I would try a 'aa', 1.2 volt. Make some small wire leads, and hook up the positive and negative on the battery correctly, connect the neg lead to the speaker, then touch the positive to the speaker.
If you have it hooked up correctly, the cone will move outward, incorrectly, the cone will move inward.
Or, call Polk cs, and I'm sure they can tell you....
Cheers,
Russ
Crap, I just re-read your post, you don't which wires from the car are pos/neg....
Dammit, call crutchfield, or try a Honda forum.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.
