MOOOO!!!!
Bottlehead Quickie V1.0 Preamp (with PJCCS upgrade) and Quicksand Power Amp.
I will resist strongly splitting these up. The top plates are always randomly distributed and I got very lucky with both of mine coming up RED!
WARNING! You will supply the batteries. There are NO power cords. The preamp is also microharmonic and does ring if you touch it. Under normal operation (not touching it or banging on whatever it sits on) it does not ring.
Built by me with more premium parts. I also supply the bases, Bottlehead badges, sound damping in both bases and extra tubes. I'm also throwing in my idea of how to cut down on the microharmonics in the tubes (the copper pipes).
Quickie Preamp: Volume control goes to 24 - ain't that special!! Has two switchable inputs and one output. Premium wiring and caps (Clarity cap and Nichicon) used, volume control is an Alps Blue. That gray stuff is sound damping not some kind of viral takeover. You will need 4x 9v batteries and 2x D cells. There's at least 4 sets of tubes included.
These tubes do NOT ever get hot. They are not designed to get hot, they will never get hot so don't consider basking in the warm glow, there is none.
Quicksand Power Amp: Premium caps and wiring used. Output caps are tipped with small film caps. Input caps are Clarity Cap PX. You will need 12 (yep - one dozen!) C batteries.
Asking $325 shipped.

How dare you! Bottlehead is going to remove your "top donator" name plate from the lobby!
What kind of power does this produce?Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!! -
Also works as a headphone amp...
•Gain: 20dB
•Power: 4 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms, 8 Watts per channel into 4 Ohms, 5% THD, both channels driven
•Battery life: 5-300 Hours depending upon how hard the amp is driven. Louder = more power output = shorter battery life.
•Power Supply: 12 C-cell batteries
•Input Impedance: 60K Ohms

Dang -- those were (are) pretty souped up. Pretty cool.
Reminds me that someday I've gotta build the Quickie kit that's sittin' in a drawer upstairs in the hifi quagmire.
