Was out and about today and bought an old tube radio from a gentleman.
He said it worked and it came with 4 extra tubes which I know nothing about them or the radio....
Anyone know about these 572 B tubes?
As far as the old radio goes, hope to clean it up and put it on a shelf.

hmmm... 572B is, as best I can tell, a transmitter tube (i.e., not something that an Airline radio receiver would have; I don't know of any Wards/Airline amateur radio equipment???).

The "National Valve Museum" says it is equivalent to an 811.

EDIT: High mu power triode; looks like Heathkit may have used them in their 1 kW ham linear amp (or maybe they saw aftermarket use in those amps?).
The T160L designation sounds like a "Taylor Tube"... but it's not in the one Taylor catalog to which I have access.

Thanks for looking M, I was hoping you would chime in.
I will post some pics when I get back in.
There is an inside label with some info and I can see it has a Utah speaker.
The housing is a wood cathedral shape..
Once again TKS for the info.
