Hey all!
Just wanted to post a question to get to know you all better! I personally try and listen to my 2 channel Rig for an hour a day after work, sometimes I can sometimes not. On Sunday however I have the system running all day playing all sorts of music. Most recently I was listening to Carol King and The Rolling Stones.
What day do you find yourself listening to music the most and what is in YOUR "Sunday" lineup?

My shtuff rarely ever sees action nowadays. It was mostly Friday & Saturday nights but young kids squashed that past time.
As for my sunday lineup. Usually i start with 2 Black & Tans and then follow up with a DIPA. How sad has my life become....Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!! -
I rarely have time in the Summer months to really sit down and critically listen so I don't have the system on much. Also my amp and pre-amp put out a LOT of heat so when the temp here is in the upper 80's and 90's the a/c runs non-stop until the sun sets. So, I don't tend to listen as much on the hotter days of summer.
Fall and Winter it gets a good work-out, however.

MMMM I love me some Black and Tans. I actually made a un-traditional Black and Tan this sunday, it consisted of a Huss Brewing Koffee Klosch and a Boulder Chocolate Shake Porter. Good stuff.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

@heiney9 Why do you have less time in the summer months? Work, more activities to do outside the house? Here in Arizona we stay in during the summer so if anything my system gets more of a workout.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

Yes, more outdoor activities in general. More cook-outs, working in the yard, garden and on the house. Weekend trips, etc. I like to carve out several hours of interrupted listening time. It takes a good hour for everything to warm up and start sounding good, so I don't tend to run the rig unless I know it can be on for hours w/o interruption.
We here in the Midwest (Chicago area) tend to be inside more in the Fall and especially Winter. Days are much shorter and colder, etc. No lawn to mow, garden to tend to, boating with friends, etc.
Interesting how the listening habits a little different by geography.

Yeah considering it is 115 average here in the summer months staying inside is recommended. Don't get me wrong I can take the heat and still go out to fish, swim, shoot, camp etc. Just not with the frequency I do between Sep - March.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

I picked up an old Lexicon RT10 just so I could listen to some SACDs on my 2channel setup and see what's what. Now, I listen to redbook on it too because it sounds that much better than any of the other CD players I have around, to me anyway, but I don't have anything high end. Just like spinning the little discs I guess.
Was running FLAC files through the P5 for a while and couldn't tell much difference between them and CDs through my NAD player. Lexicon brought it to a new level for me.
As far as summer months here in GA... A few weekends ago it was so hot you couldn't drag my **** outside for a free set of SDAs. I'm ready for Fall. Camping, bonfires, 4wheeling, and comfortable fishing days on the lake.

I put on an addition to my house and lost part of my basement. Until the new basement is finished my system is packed. That said, I still have PC speakers (Polk TSi100's), my vehicles during commuting, and headphones that I use a lot.
M musical taste is all over the place. Listening mainly to Italian pop music lately Ramazotti, Celentano, Rossi, Zucchero, etc. But I flip between a variety 80's music, hard rock, and pop music. Been doing quite a bit of the later also since I had to DJ an outdoor wedding for a friend (I'm not really a DJ but I have some nice gear). -
@maximillian I am the same way, I switch between so many different genres. Jazz, pop, classic rock, hard rock, hip hop, EDM, folk, bluegrass, country western, motown soul, gospel. At one point I felt embarrassed to like X artist or X style of music but now I just love it all.
As long as they are good musicians I will more than likely love it.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

Usually everyday from 2-5 or so as the wife gets home a little after that.
Weekends for me is Saturday when I have the house to myself for a few hours.
My lil 2 ch noise maker gets more action in the winter time as spring, summer and fall always dictate doing things outdoors..yard, pool, garden full of wabbits & weeds who this year is once again winning the battle.
Various levels of rock seems to always be my flavor but I'm open to about anything, just something running in the back ground helps me stay sane which I sure the sanity part is highly debatable

I'm sure once I get a house the same will happen (weeds, yard work etc), for now I make my apartment complex take care of that =P.
I honestly am VERY lucky to have the string of neighbors living above me. I have had 3 different couples in 2 years live above us and NOT ONCE has ANYONE complained of music being too loud. In the colder months I listen to the 2 channel rig in the game room. In the spring and early summer it's usually with ear buds in and my shooting ear muffs over them while running the tractor(cutting grass mostly). Once the heat hits and the grass goes dormant it's on the deck with the Niles OS-20's serving up the tunes. In the autumn it's time to split firewood and back on the earbuds/headset goes.
Unless it's critical listening in the game room I like to just play a bunch of various artists and play them in random mode...never know what the next song will be.Yep, my name really is Bob.
Parasound HCA1500A(indoor sound) and HCA1000(outdoor sound), Dynaco PAS4, Denon DP1200 w/Shure V15 Type V and Jico SAS stylus, Marantz UD7007, Polk L600, Rythmik L12 sub. -
Since i got better speakers and gear I play a lot more classic rock (classic to me) Cream - Wishbone Ash -Fleetwood mac - Steely dan -Supertramp -Hendrix -Zep
I get maybe 6-12 hours of listening on my 2 channel setup on weekends but none through out the week.
but I still play everything from hard rock to Jazz & Punk Rock to the Blues ..like some of the old new wave stuff and Hair bands... from Muddy Waters to Alice Cooper to Nina Simone to Tom waits & Nick Cave!
but I do get to listen to music at work all day long via crappy Hearing protection headset hook to a ipod.2 ch- Polk CRS+ * Vincent SA-31MK Preamp * Vincent Sp-331 Amp * Marantz SA8005 SACD * Project Xperience Classic TT * Sumiko Blue Point #2 MC cartridge

@voltz It's funny you mention better gear and classic rock. Before I got a "good" set of speakers I would listen to almost no classic rock. Now I use Rumors from Fleetwood as an audition record and at least get Stevie playing through my speakers once a day. Some days I come home and can't get music out of my head, I just feel like listening from the time I touch down to the time I get into bed. Others I might play 1 or two songs and then head to the TV or Playstation.
