I did a little research on dynamic range compression and how it is ruining music.
I found this link to a data base that compares different releases/remasters/formats for the same album.

It should help to keep us from buying trashed recordings.

    Interesting database, but I don't quite understand how you interpret multiple entries for the same CD (e.g. Steely Dan Aja). When they tag it "MFSL" or something, that's obvious; otherwise, I assume people are getting different results for the same CD pressing?!

    I'm not sure I follow you.
    If you click on the title it opens another page with details and they all seem to have different catalog numbers.
