Carver TFM 25 Amp

Selling my 2-channel a amp to fund another purchase. I bought this amp here about 7-8 months ago and have put less than 30 hours on it in that time. Selling for what I paid for it - $200 or best reasonable offer. Local pickup in State College, PA area or buyer to pay actual shipping (probably around $20). Will post pictures later. I'd rate a 6/10 due to missing rack handles and a minor blemish on the faceplate. The Vu meters work fine, but need new lamps. This is exactly how I bought it - never got around to buying new bulbs and installing them. They're $13/pair on eBay.

This is a nice and very powerful (225 wpc in 8 ohm) amp!

    Didn't get any pictures before I left for work this morning, but I found these from when I bought it from DollarDave last November. It looks the same, if not a little better since I cleaned it up. Additionally, I read the thread wrong last night and I actually paid $200 shipped, so I'll do the same!

    Got some good pictures tonight. The first shows the Vu meters in action (before I cleaned off the dust!). The rest show some different angles and some close-ups of the blemish on the faceplate between the meters (it's just a glossy area only visible when the light hits it at certain angles) and some other scuffs and nicks. It actually doesn't look as bad as I described it earlier. Unless you're within a foot or two scrutinizing it, it looks fairly good in a rack!

    Again, it functions perfectly and sounds great.

    Really surprised at the lack of interest on this one. A 2-channel Bob Carver amp at 225 wpc for $180? I think my price is in line... I paid more than this not too long ago and cleaned it up a bit.

    I had two of these amps. The TFM-25 and TFM-35. Both good amps, but the cost to make them back to new condition or upgrade the components can get expensive.

    I would suggest posting it on the carver forum.

    Thanks GFO! I actually do have it posted over on the Carver Site, but since I'm a 'newbie' there, another (more senior) member helped with the posting. I almost had it sold, so hadn't bumped it at all.

    The amp is in great working condition, but I imagine if you wanted it near perfect, you'd need to invest a few bucks in the new meter lamps (around $13-$15) and perhaps track down some rack handles. I know many folks upgrade the meter lamps to blue LEDs. Personally, I prefer the soft white/yellow glow of the original lamps. If those aren't important, this amp is a workhorse as-is. As with any 20+ year old amp, a refresh or upgrade could get a little pricey though.

    At $200 shipped, I'm not making much... I just got two shipping quotes at $31 and $35... And my packaging is PFB-proof...

    Someone help me out here (there's no emoji for desperately sad eyes...), I hate stringing mark090852 along. Need to sell this in order to pick up his B&K.
