Adding more speakers for Atmos / DTS:X
Hey guys, I just picked up a Denon 2200W to replace my constantly dying Onkyo TX-NR809. The new receiver supports Atmos and DTS:X. I'm looking to add two more speakers to take advantage of the new formats. I'm currently running Monitor II 70's in front, CS2 in center and 30's in the rear. What should I look at adding to utilize both formats. I was thinking about Front Wide speakers, possibly using some more 30's? I really like the Atmos speakers that fire at the ceiling from the front L/R towers, but will DTS:X utilize those as well? Since Polk does not offer the Atmos style speaker what recommendation do you have for my current setup.

Def tech has ATMOS modules.

I'm familiar with them. My biggest question is if DTS:X will utilize the Atmos modules, if not I think a front high channel may be better for me.Main HT:

At CEDIA in the Denon/Marantz Atmos theater they played a DTSX beta demo using the same Atmos setup. They said DTSX would be frontwards/backwards compatible using Atmos setup.
If in-ceiling speakers can be installed, this would be the better routePost edited by txcoastal1 on2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures

Awesome, unfortunately I cannot use in ceiling speakers as it's a drywall / plastered ceiling. The up firing setup would be best for me.Main HT:
