Aurum Cantus Moon Goddess thoughts?

Hey peoples! I just got a chance to pick up some Aurum Cantus Moon Goddess speakers with matching center for a very reasonable price. Anyone have any time with these or opinions they could offer.. I currently have somever modded SDA 1Cs but the itch to upgrade remains. Thanks for your time

    You know? Not heard these models before so can't comment on them. But Aurum Cantus makes good to excellent sounding speaker drivers. I am using 16 of the Aurum ribbons in my line arrays which I think are pretty nice. Aurum uses their own drivers in their speakers and I think they know what they are doing. If the price is very reasonable, I think you should go for them for a change from SDA1C.

    But remember, it's all about synergy and matching with other components (especially the amp) so be prepared to change the amps, and the source if the moon doesn't sound right at first.
    Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone. :redface::biggrin:

    I heard a set of Aurum Cantus speakers at THE Show in June - towers - not sure of the model, but I was impressed. Full bodied, balanced, good slam.

    H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.

    Well after weeks of listening back and forth the SDA's reign supreme. I just can't get enough of that soundstage

    Frankly, you can't just compare different speakers with the same old electronics that matches better with the SDA1C. Different speakers require different electronics for their best possible sound. Optimization for a new synergy is a requirement when you change something as dramatic as a different speaker in the chain.
