Very nice speakers. I had the 710's and wish I would have never sold. Very detailed, warm speakers. And I am sure yours are the same. Peace. D

AL drivers work as they should so far. Needs a little watkins rejuvenating oil and 0000 steel wool for the water stain on one top other than that they are very nice.my two best friends have ADS 810,910 880 ect ect ect ....have listened to ads's thier systems for awhile and when these came up (quite seldom in my area) I grabbed them and got the cartridge as well. Have to find another headshell.

I have had good luck getting water stains out with an iron set on medium over a white t-shirt you no longer need. Keep going over the area til it majically disappears. Peace. D

Hmm... I wouldn't expect them to thump -- the LF should be much more pleasant and well behaved than that, if not incredibly deep.

(although I find the 810 to be a bit "thicker" sounding than the 710, perhaps that's what is being characterized as thump... or maybe I am just missing the irony)

It's a very Controlled bass. Fast and plenty deep.

that is what I would expect -- the two smaller woofers trick works pretty favorably in the hands of Braun/ads.

The other really interesting thing about those loudspeakers... they're surprisingly sensitive and/or easy to drive -- little push-pull EL84 (12-ish wpc) and even single-ended 2A3 (3.5-ish wpc) amplifier sound good with the L-710s. Amazingly good.

In my area you just don't see them for sale. Very rarely it took 7 months looking to find these (I had mentally given up) and picked up an interesting MC cart.

They are quite different from the polks. The 12c seem very laid back in comparison where the ADS are very agressive. Hell they threatened me last night if I didn't turn it up some more LOL

Well after 5 days of intense listening sessions it appears my ears have changed I love the detail and punch I'm getting from the ADS 810'S. Never thought I would find a pair of speakers that could replace the RTA12C'S sound but I have! I'm thinking my ears have changed over the years and I desire much more detail and with the Krell and perreaux pre and the ADS it seems a senergy that has amazed me.may have a pair of 12c's up for sale soon (never thought I'd say that!)

Always wanted a pair of 810's but they were out of my price range. For years I had a pair of 700's, which were replaced by my RTA 12C's.

They don't come up in my area at all ( at least in the last couple of years) Ive had a desire to try a pair of 910,810 or 980 for 3 years but none show up until a couple weeks ago. Grabbed them imediatly and DAMN they impressed me with thier bass speed and punch, the mids and highs are so detailed its silly. Completely diff sound than the polks.not as much sound stage as the polks but every thing else is just right there and leaves me with my mouth hanging open. Did not expect it but they just lured me away. I've been looking for more detail for awhile and these give that is spades.
