A lot of people connect with Oldsmobile. When GM shut them down Olds was 106 years old, making it the oldest car company in the US and the 4th oldest in the world. Only 3 other European cars companies were older.

Those 442's were sweet. My friend growing up had a '70 442 W30 . I had a '70 Mercury Cyclone GT 429 Super Cobra Jet. Both of them were Bad azz BIG BLOCK MACHINES...

The 70 W30 is the holy grail of the 442's and are fetching 6 figures these days. Believe it or not the 70 Cyclone spoiler you had is one of my all time favorites. Fell in love with that car when the Woods Brothers were racing them.

Tony, I hope you had a good time at the show. For me I never got the moniker of Steve Guitar Miller. Yeah he did some decent stuff but w/ a huge line up as he had what could go wrong ?The fame he garner to me was not worthy of such a title. I did get to see him when Norton Buffalo was still around and he added alot like Hendrix on the harmonica. I found the show exceedingly slick measured to the minute and if you like a a very well structured set then he's for you. I'm not saying the GD is the band to see if you wanted a loosey goosey band but this was way to structured for me.
Yes Tony I'm BACK and maybe for good ....lol

I dunno Lew, maybe he's changed since you saw him but I wouldn't exactly call the concert I saw structured down to the wire. He does still seem to me though, like one of those guys who smoked way too much pot in his day, or still does, who knows. All I know is, he put on a good show and it was an enjoyable evening which is more than I can say for some other vintage dudes.

Tony ,I'm glad you had a great time, and lord knows I've been to some dogs of performances. He was not one of them but do you really think he earned the moniker of 'Steve Guitar Miller ? Alvin Lee yes, SRV yes and of course a boat load of axmen w/ no title ever given. Hey it's all subjective and again I would give him another chance. btw did he have a very large backing band ? Also, was it an evening with or was there a warm up act ?
