First Impressions I've played through Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott's on Blu-ray, DSOTM SACD 5.1 mix and DSOTM Lp, stuff I'm very familiar with. I think the Halo has a bit more subdued on highs than the Adcom, which I'm digging so far, the midrange excels, than that of the 5503, however the 5503 has a tad more punch in the bass department. I'm actually using the power cord that came with the Halo over the Signal as it is a foot longer and reaches the outlet easier.

It is dead silent when Idie, you have to have your ear right up to it to hear any buzz at all, where the Adcom was loud when Idle especially on the right channel which you heard a buzz from a few inches away which bothered me a bit. I had DSOTM LP in Pure Audio mode pretty loud and the clarity is superb on the Halo, which was easier to listen to than the 5503 there you have it initial impressions so far, I'm digging the Halo it's a sexy beast for sure. I think it will be a late night.

AND with less noise the bottom end should sound better.

Give the amp some time, has to get used to your mug and it might open up a bit on that bottom end.

Any way you slice it, it's a step up from the Adcom. Just wait until it breaks in.

Looks like Audio Advisor sold out of the silver version yesterday. I was thinking about getting one, but I have too many amps already. Congrats on the purchase at their great price.

I wasn't really in the Market for another 3 channel amp but when I seen this price it struck my interest. I ignored it for a couple of days decide to peek again last Wednesday, called Audio Advisor asked about them I was told there were a few left, but they figured they would be sold out of them by Thursday or Friday.

I debated about it called Thursday morning and ordered it, at that price it's was just to good to pass up, glad I got one as they sold out, and silver and black look just fine together sitting on the amp stand.
