can I use a tesla E88CC instead of 12AT7A which is what it came wth

help I damaged the one that was in there moving the lid around cleaning and dusting

I have some by tesla and some that have no name or no. on them

Its in my sonic frontiers sfl1, so I don't want to mess it up

thanks in advance for any help

    No, it's not even close. The E88CC is the equivalent to the 6DJ8/6922 tube. For starters the E88CC has a 6v heater and the 12TA7 has a 12v heater. That right there makes it incompatible.

    That being said above, I have no idea why it would come with E88CC if you are using 12AT7's. Perhaps something in the design allows it, but these tubes really aren't in the same family at all.

    Who suggested you use 12AT7's?

    According the internet it uses (1) 12AT7 tube. So no, as I said, E88CC is not compatible. Your post was confusing. At first I thought you meant it came with the E88CC.

    What brand of 12AT7 did you use before you broke it?
