I confuse..........easily
How are those cables terminated? It looks like someone jammed a paper clip in the end and sent some solder through it.
I think someone needs to be these......F1 of "The original morning wood" F1's!
Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!! -
Those would be sweet! @$525.......that's too much to experiment with (for me). Nice to see them completely unmolested.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -
According to Salvatore, to make these actually 'the best' you need to cut these down to less than 6' lengths (or shorter if possible) and run them 4-8 parallel. Lots of wiring/soldering. Very tedious.
BTW, he says the 'flat' versions are not as good as the round. So, there ya have it. Interesting, but probably not worth $500+

All I remember is the horror stories of them (Cobra Cables, that is) cooking marginally stable amplifiers due (if memory serves) to their relatively high capacitive reactance :-)
My ol' friend George* (first Polk Audio loudspeaker owner/user known to me... in 1976) bought & used a pair of Cobra Cables with his original (unsuffixed) Monitor Series Model 10 loudspeakers... and a GAS Son of Ampzilla amplifier, which didn't seem to mind them at all.
* Not the late, lamented George Grand (of the Jersey Grands); another George.

As much as I would like to play with them, $500?? I'll stick with my MIT's..
