Budget speakers for loft - 150 or less shipped L/R

Had some "fun homeowner" stuff come up so my budget is basically destroyed. But that's life.

I've got my eyes on a set of NHT SB-3's (love to hear from @F1nut ) or maybe a set of RT25i's, but open to other options.

Gotta stay budget on these, wish I had more cash.

Looking for something that is decent but not blockbuster as I realize my budget dictates used lower models.

Hoping to get some guidance on some options that might be overlooked normally for "newer" "better" speakers lol...

    Well Dan I have a lonely SB3 in good condition. If u happen to find another on fleabay I'll seek it to you cheap. Excellent sound for the money.

    If you can swing for @halo71's energy RC10s, those would fit the bill...

    Halo is keeping the RC-10s but he still has the RTi 6s, but I don't know if the brighter sound is for me but I'm looking to buy soon so we will see.

    Now that's what I call a deal! And then you can easily justify upgrading down the road when the funds open up if you feel the need, I'd say just pay those speakers forward if you do!
