Does anyone have this and use the pre outs??? Does anyone know if you can get a signal from the preamp outputs and power from the receiver amd on those same channel simultaneously???

The guy I'm looking for is in my same situation, needing more power for his 150s...so he'll need to bi-amp with the receiver and a second amp...

Thanks in advance for any input...

when you hook up to the pre-outputs, the receiver does not shut off the signal to the internal amps.
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

I can second that, i used my 2802 and a separate amp at the same time, had the 2802 powering the highs, and the separate amp for the lows, worked great.

I can third that on using both reciever amps and pre outs. But I had the opposite experience then racer4551. When I used the denon to power the highs and carver for lows, I got very terrible sound.

I'm looking at the 2802 and 3801 in the Denon line.

I'm looking to get either for around $400, both are in great shape.

Which one would you guys reccomend? I'm leaning towards the 3801 based on specs and features, can anyone give me a reason to go with the 2802 or re-affirm my 3801 decision?

    Appreciate it...
