any one have B&K amps and is going from 100wpc to 200wpc going to give me a good performance boost

i have
800i manis
400i center
fx 500i rear and rear suround

i have a onkyo 787 and a old 100wpc sony stero recever driveing my rear suround

    Hi:

    I have a B&K 200W X 3 and I am really impressed with it. The extra wattage will give you more head room, and better overall response.

    Remember, you can never have too much power.

    yes, any doubling in wattage will give you a good performance boost. as any audible difference in sound requires a doubling of power, when upgrading an amp, you should always try to double your power. a 30-50W difference will not yeild a great difference(unless you are talking about different maufacturers)...

    I had a 787 and hooked up a B & K Ref. 7250 to my 2000's. The bottom came alive, to the point of being boomy. But that's another problem. I ended up selling the the 787 and getting the Ref 30 pre-amp. That put a whole new perspective on my music and HT. I'm very happy with the B & K although if I was going to buy it again I would have bought the 6 channel amp for 6.1. Now I have to buy another amp. Will get a 2 channel and go to 7.1. Gordo
